Latest pro-bono work:
- Environmental Justice Foundation (London - remote): Advisor on data migration from on-prem file server to Dropbox cloud.
- Physicians for Human Rights (New York - remote): Create digital version of PHR Annual Report to donors
- WITNESS (New York - remote): Advisor and project manager to develop a media archiving strategy, and associated processes and systems.
- GOAL (Ireland): Advisor on project to investigate Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions and strategies
I am passionate about giving back to the community, and deeply involved
in volunteering / pro-bono work with NGO’s and charity organisations,
such as:
- Coder Dojo Bray: Member of the Board of Trustees, Dojo Champion and Technical Mentor. I helped set up and am currently a trustee in the Coder Dojo Bray charity (RCN: 20204977).
- St Cronan's National School: Member of the Board of Management (Roll No. 16872A)
- SOLAS Project Step-Up: Mentor of young people from disadvantaged areas of Dublin
- SOLAS Project Business: Mentor
- Dropbox for Good/Dropbox Foundation: Various volunteering initiatives, including:
- Foundation Lead for Washington, DC-based Dropbox Foundation Partner KIND (Kids In Need of Defense)
- Dropbox Hispanic Heritage Month (2018): Organiser of month-long activities highlighting the culture and diversity of latinos and hispanics in the tech community
- Seal Rescue: VTO at seal sanctuary in Co Wexford
- Silver surfers: Helping senior, retired individuals get a grasp of technology, setting up and explaining how to use iPads, Skype, etc to remove isolation barriers
